Explore the Grand Site Les Deux-Caps

The emblematic site of the Hauts-de-France region is the jewel of the Opal Coast and is located between Boulogne-sur-Mer and Calais. This protected area is remarkable for the diversity of its landscapes, the variety of natural environments and authentic coastal villages. It constitutes the coastal strip of the Regional Natural Park of Caps et Marais d’Opale. Its location at the gates of the Strait of Dover offers an exceptional view over England.

Meet the seals

While they had almost disappeared from the coasts of northern France at the end of the 1970s, you can now see up to a hundred seals in the Baie d’Authie. They can be spotted 2h30 before low tide, resting on the uncovered sand banks.
