Inaugurated in 1909, the Fontainebleau golf course is one of the oldest in fance. Created by Julien Chantepie, redesigned in 1920 by Tom Simpson, modified in 1963 by Fred Hawtree, it is located in the Fontainebleau forest, near the town, in the ancient imperial hunting ground. Due to its sandy ground, the ground is soft and perfecctly playable at any moment. Many golfers consider Fontainebleau as one of the best in Europe.
Cély Golf Club
The Château de Cély Golf Club is located 45 kilometres south of Paris, close to the forest of Fontainebleau. The vast and beautiful 55 hectares estate includes a 14th-century chateau (used for seminars and receptions), a clubhouse with a bar and restaurant, a practice ground with 17 bays and an 18-hole course, 5874m long.
